Watch Settings – Chronograph

For Daytona Watches:

Thank you for trusting us to build your new watch. We'll help you familiarize yourself with your handcrafted timepiece and explain how to set it.

Motion:
Our Daytona watches feature the VK63 hybrid chronograph movement. They are battery-powered and do not require manual winding , unlike automatic watches.

Time setting:
To set the time, unscrew the center crown (turn it towards you) until it makes a small "click" as it pops out. Then, pull the crown out until it clicks again in its outermost position.
Turn the crown clockwise (outwards) to set the time.
Please note that you should only rotate clockwise in this position, as rotating in the opposite direction can create unnecessary strain and reduce the lifespan of the movement.

Secure the crown:
When you've finished adjusting your watch, push the crown inwards and turn it clockwise (outwards) until it is fully screwed in and secure.
This is necessary to ensure that the seal is properly closed.

Second hand:
Please note that the third hand (with an arrowhead) does not function as a normal second hand.
This hand is used exclusively for the chronograph function, which is why it remains stationary at the 12 o'clock position when the chronograph is not in use.
The real second hand is located in the lower subdial .

Chronograph usage:
To use the chronograph function, first unscrew the top and bottom pushers .

  • Use the top pusher to start and stop the chronograph.

  • Use the bottom button to reset it to its original position.

After using the chronograph, screw both pushers back on to maintain the seal.

⚠️ Note: The chronograph function should not be used in the rain or underwater.

For Black Bay Chrono Watches:

Motion:
Our Black Bay Chrono watches use the VK64 hybrid chronograph movement. They are battery-powered and do not require winding like automatic watches.

Date and time adjustment:

  • To set the date , unscrew the crown (turn it towards you) until it clicks as it pops out. Then, gently pull it out until you feel the first click . Turn the crown clockwise (outwards) to set the date.

  • To set the time , pull the crown out to its outermost position and turn it clockwise (outwards) .
Keep in mind that you should only turn clockwise , as turning counter-clockwise can cause unnecessary strain and reduce the lifespan of the movement.

Secure the crown:
When you've finished adjusting your watch, push the crown inwards and turn it clockwise (outwards) until it is fully screwed in and secure.
This is necessary to ensure that the seal is completely closed.

Second hand:
Please note that the third hand (with an arrowhead) does not function as a normal second hand.
It is intended solely for chronograph function, so it remains stationary at the 12 o'clock position when not in use.
The Black Bay Chrono does not have a continuous second hand.

Chronograph usage:
To use the chronograph function, first unscrew the top and bottom pushers.

  • Use the top pusher to start and stop the chronograph.

  • Use the bottom button to reset it to its original position.

After using it, make sure to screw the push buttons back on to maintain a proper seal.

⚠️ Note: The chronograph function should not be used in the rain or underwater.
