Watch Manual

FOR ALL AUTOMATIC WATCHES

Thank you for trusting us to build your new watch. We'll help you familiarize yourself with your handcrafted timepiece and explain how to set it.

Motion:
Previous models use NH35 or NH34 (GMT) automatic movements. These are automatic mechanical movements, meaning they do not use a battery and are powered by movement or manual winding.

To wind up the movement:
During shipping or when not used for a while, the movement may lose power and the watch may stop. This is normal: you just need to wind it again or gently shake it depending on the remaining power.
A full charge requires between 55 and 65 full turns of the crown and lasts approximately more than 40 hours .

To wind it: unscrew the crown (turn it towards you) until it makes a small "click" as it pops out, then turn it clockwise (outwards) 20 to 50 times. This will wind the mainspring and reactivate the automatic movement.

Adjust the date, GMT and time:

  • To set the date , unscrew the crown (towards you) until it pops out, then gently pull it out until you feel the first click. Turn it counterclockwise (towards you) to set the date.

  • If your model is GMT , in that same position turn clockwise (outwards) to adjust the GMT needle.
Note that one full rotation of the GMT hand equals 24 hours , unlike the hour hand which represents 12 hours. This corresponds to the 24-hour bezel.

  • To set the time , pull the crown out again to its outermost position. Turn it clockwise (outward) only to adjust the time.
Do not turn in the opposite direction, as this can create unnecessary stress and reduce the lifespan of the movement.

Secure the crown:
Once you've finished setting the watch, push the crown in and turn it clockwise (outward) until it's fully screwed in and sealed. This is necessary to maintain the watertight seal.

FOR ALL CHRONOGRAPH WATCHES

Thank you for trusting us to build your new watch. We'll explain how to set it up.

Motion:
Our Daytona watches use the VK63 hybrid chronograph movement. They are battery-powered and do not require winding like automatic watches.

Set the time:
Unscrew the center crown (turn it towards you) until it pops out, then pull it out to its outermost position. Turn it clockwise (outwards) to set the time.
Do not turn in the opposite direction to avoid unnecessary wear.

Secure the crown:
When you're finished, press the crown inwards and turn it clockwise (outwards) until it is completely closed.

Chronograph hand:
The third hand (with an arrowhead) is not the normal second hand; it is used for the chronograph function, which is why it remains fixed at 12 o'clock when not in use.
The real second hand is located in the lower subdial .

Using the chronograph:
Unscrew the upper and lower pushbuttons .

  • Use the top button to start and stop the chronograph.

  • Use the bottom button to reset it to its original position.

After using it, screw both push buttons back on to ensure a seal.
⚠️ Do not use the chronograph in the rain or underwater.

FOR BLACK BAY CHRONO WATCHES

Motion:
Our Black Bay Chrono watches use the battery-powered VK64 hybrid chronograph movement, so they do not require winding .

Adjust date and time:

  • To set the date , unscrew the crown (turn it towards you) until it pops out, then gently pull it out until you feel the first click. Turn it clockwise (outwards) to set the date.

  • To set the time , pull the crown out to its outermost position and turn it clockwise (outwards) .
Do not turn in the opposite direction to avoid damage to the mechanism.

Secure the crown:
Press the crown inwards and turn it clockwise (outwards) until it is fully screwed in and sealed.

Chronograph hand:
The third hand (with an arrowhead) is not a normal second hand; it corresponds to the chronograph, which is why it remains fixed at 12 o'clock when it is not active.
The Black Bay Chrono model does not have a continuous second hand.

Using the chronograph:
Unscrew the upper and lower pushbuttons.

  • The upper one starts and stops the chronograph.

  • The lower one restarts it.

After using it, screw the push buttons back on to maintain the seal.
⚠️ Do not use the chronograph in the rain or underwater.
